Buying vintage is a conscious decision that we can all make. Sometimes, the retail choices on offer can be overwhelming, and it's always worth considering the vintage option first. 

My first love remains mid century-both furniture and homewares. I love the sleek look of a G Plan sideboard or nest of tables, and the earthy appeal of a Hornsea coffee pot or storage jar. But I can see the beauty in well worn pieces from other eras and places-at the moment I'm going through my 'French' period! Who doesn't love a slightly crazed soup tureen or a well worn milking stool?
